Adeolu O. Adewuyi is a Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics, University of Ibadan (UI), Nigeria. He specialises in international economics (Trade, Finance & marketing), industrial economics, economics of institutions & Governance, resource and environmental economics and quantitative economics. He teaches international economics, research methodology and international marketing at the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences, UI; while he also teaches corporate policy and strategy, project management and research methodology at UI School of Business. He was the Pioneer Dean of UI School of Business (a position he held for 6 years) . He is currently the Head of Department of Accounting, University of Ibadan, He was involved in many research and training programmes including those on national, regional and multilateral trade policy analysis and negotiations, interaction between trade and institution/governance, governance and performance of firms, industrial policy design and analysis, international financial issues, sustainable development, and resources management. He is a Research Fellow of some of local and international research centers such as Centre for Trade & Development Initiatives (CTDi), Ibadan, Nigeria; Trade policy Research & Training Programme (TPRTP), UI, Nigeria; Centre for Econometrics & Allied Research (CEAR), UI, Nigeria; Africa Economic Research Consortium (AERC), Nairobi, Kenya; African Econometric Society (AES). He served as a consultant to some organizations such as Department for International Development (DFID); European Union-Support for Government Reforms (EU-SUFEGOR), The World Bank, UNDP, ECOWAS, Ministry of Trade, Industry & Investment, Abuja, Nigeria; National Planning Commission (NPC), Abuja, Nigeria and he is currently conducting some research projects with the Regional Integration & Trade Department and the African Trade Policy Centre (ATPC) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He also served in the Board of some reputable organizations including Nigerian Institute of Management (Chattered) and the Nigerian Economic Society (Business Manager). He is currently a member of Board of UI Microfinance Bank. He has published widely in reputable local and international journals (such as Energy Economics-A+, Energy Policy-A, Energy-A, Journal of Environmental Management-A, The World Economy-A, American Business Review-A, Economic Modelling-A, International Journal of Finance & Economics-B, The International Trade Journal-B, Resources Policy-B) in the areas of trade, finance, institutions & corporate governance, resources management, environmental sustainability and sustainable development.
